An original production for Shift, led by Daniel Iwryn, who also composed the music – A live musical journey moving between groove, trance, and free improvisation – an evolving sonic landscape where cyclical rhythms, simple melodies, and shifting textures are woven together in real time.
Drawing inspiration from the trance traditions of North and West Africa, as well as contemporary electronic music and improvisational practices, the performance moves between hypnotic pulses, acoustic resonance, and immersive electronic atmospheres. Each concert is a one-of-a-kind experience, leaving ample room for improvisation and inviting both musicians and audience into a shared space of deep listening, movement, and discovery.
Featuring: Daniel Iwryn (guembri), David Dagmi (percussion), Itamar Gutman (percussion), Mika Reani (trumpet), Tao Samuelson (synthesizer), Musa Abbasi (Ney), Muna Haj (Vocals).
